Inspired by the vibrant embroidered textiles of the Otomí Tenango tradition of Mexico, this whimsical and colorful ketubah is filled with flowers, bees, roosters, butterflies, cats, birds, and other creatures. Two abundant stalks of maize rise through the composition. Within the design, maize serves as a Mexican visual counterpart to the Jewish Tree of Life, symbolizing sustenance, fertility, continuity, and the cultivation of a flourishing life together.
The personalized ketubah text is held within an architectural arch at the center of the artwork. Created for couples who want their ketubah to reflect both Jewish wedding tradition and a meaningful connection to Mexico, this design is a limited edition of 200.
The text remains beautifully legible at every available size, although couples selecting a Conservative text or another longer bilingual text may be happiest with a medium or large size. At the largest size, this design can accommodate 3 languages.
