Dwelling of Peace
English Companion Wording for the Orthodox Ketubah, appears in a visually separate section from the Traditional Aramaic Ketubah text and signatures
On the _____ day of the month _____ in the year five thousand seven hundred and _____, corresponding to _____ in the year two thousand and _____, in __________, with joy and reverence, the groom __________________, son of __________________ and __________________, and the bride __________________, daughter of __________________ and __________________, said the words and performed the actions established by our Sages of blessed memory to begin their marriage in accordance with Jewish law and tradition.
May their home be a dwelling of peace, a place of warmth, learning, and generosity, where laughter and compassion abide, where guests are welcomed, and where the light of Torah shines brightly. May they hear the laughter of children in their home and teach them the ways of tzedakah and ma’asim tovim. May they find strength in one another, comfort in times of challenge, and delight in all the blessings life brings.
May they know the joy of fulfilling the mitzvot, and may they be blessed with gladness and song, joy and peace, all the days of their life together.
