Choosing the Right Size for Your Keter Ketubah
FOR HEBREW & ENGLISH KETUBOT:
To keep the text a nice size, we recommend choosing a size based on the English word count. Here's a simple guide:
12×16 ~160 English words (Just the Facts)
16×20 ~270 English words (Stars, Bliss, Dream, Canadian Reform)
20×24 ~400 English words (Conservative Brit Ahuvim, Secular, Interfaith Secular, Interfaith Religious, Reform 1, Reform 2, Tree of Life, Hope, Joy, Anniversary 1, Anniversary 2, Anniversary 3)
24×30 ~575 English words (Orthodox Aramaic + English translation, Rabbi Adler’s Brit Ahuvim, Conservative with Lieberman Clause)
Going outside of the ranges is perfectly fine.
If you know you prefer larger fonts, go a size larger. If you don’t mind smaller fonts, go smaller. If you choose a combination that is too small or too large for most people, you’ll have a chance to adjust during proofing.
Using Only Hebrew or Only English?
You can use smaller sizes for Hebrew-only or English-only ketubot.
For example: Hebrew-only texts under 300 words look great at 16×20 or even 12×16.
