Morocco Ketubah detail 1Inspired by the intricately woven textiles of North Africa. Red ochre, yellow ochre, turquoise, lapis, and green intertwine to create a layered pattern.
Morocco Ketubah detail 2The repetition of shapes gives the eye a path to follow while not overwhelming the viewer.
Morocco Ketubah detail 3The Hebrew typeface chosen is a square calligraphy-based font. Easily legible and beautiful. The traditional method of justifying Hebrew text is employed - some letters are lengthened to fill the rows. Each text is custom typeset, so that the lettering works for name lengths.
Morocco Ketubah detail 4The English typeface is also a calligraphy-based font. Elegant and formal, it is beautiful enough to stand on its own. English only texts will stand out beautifully. To maintain the sense of Jewish connection, the English only texts will still have the "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine," quote in Hebrew and English (other quotes may be substituted at the couple's discretion).
Morocco KetubahSeen as a whole, the balance of space and pattern, color and shape, give a peaceful unity to this design. As with all designs from Ketubah Arts, the details are customizable and flexible. If you would prefer different typefaces, personally meaningful quotes in Hebrew and/or English, all of this is included in the price of the ketubah.
