Celtic Lion of Judah Ketubah
Celtic Lion of Judah Ketubah detail 1A lion's head and hindquarters are joined by Celtic knots above Hebrew and English text. Although far simpler than the Book of Kells, the Celtic interlace/knots are very intricate. Keeping the balance between intricate and interesting to the eye and a clean design can be challenging. The text is available with an arched quote or without.

The corners of any repeating border are tricky as you have to join two converging paths of motifs, bringing them together without sacrificing the integrity of the patterns, a fitting metaphor for a wedding contract.
Celtic Lion of Judah Ketubah detail 2Typeface: Rather than opting for a beautiful period style font that was difficult to read, I chose an old fashioned square torah typeface and a stylized but legible book style typeface for the English. They keep the ketubah from edging into kitsch, a risk with period style designs. As with any design, other fonts are available by request (please purchase the custom font add-on for $40 when placing your order).
Celtic Lion of Judah KetubahCeltic knot-work or interlace forms a lion into an arched border around Hebrew and English ketubah text. The single text area works well with any text combination. Couples who opt for single language texts may prefer the smaller size prints.
