Wild cherries and autumn leaves native to Ohio, the home of the couple at the time of their wedding, are held in place by a ivy vine threaded between two gold rings. Around the custom ketubah text is a quote from the Book of Ruth in Hebrew which translates, "Where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried.
